It has been a week since I last blogged. And unknowingly, I've been working fer a week.
The first day of work is always the most exciting one! Kuku mi alighted 1 stop earlier and was nearly late fer work. Met the HR mgr who hurriedly brought mi to the canteen..not fer breakfast..but to attend the "Morning Assembly". Haha..that's what I called it. Read on and you will know why. Everyone stood up after a ring of the bell. 2 senior mgrs tgt with the HR mgr were standing infront and one of them started reciting the "7 Notes of Employees" which can be found at the back of our employment pass. That would be our so-called "pledge-taking" every morning. Afterwhich one would share a short article before we climb the stairs to office. It's so secondary school can..and our shoes are white school shoes not those auntie-type..Lol! Nidec really makes mi feel like a student! :D
Back to office..they had this open concept which is more open than HP. The senior managers do not have their own office nor have partitions at their workplace. Hence they are able to see what everyone is doing..it's super open luh!
As fer my colleagues, they are really nice people. That's what I feel during the first week. Gotta need more time to know them well before saying that they are really nice. There are 9 ppl in the Finance Dept..of which only 2 (including mi) are Singaporeans. The rest are M'sians. Here's a short intro of those whom I know of/socialise with.
SY- The most respectable mgr
Ivan-My Shi-Fu who can be serious and crappy at times! Haas..
Jamie-A kind soul who told mi that sweets are not allowed in office before I get caught :x
SH- Another kind soul who told mi where to take the company bus to work.
Kenneth- The other Singaporean whose contact lens caught my attention and left an impression with the many questions that he asked mi. And I'm still wondering if he has a gf in the same office. ;P

Other than ppl from Finance, I also got to know the HR-Payroll Officer, Alex, who asked mi along fer breakfast since yesterday. He's the guai-guai type like Jia Jun and Chun Rong..keke..old enuff to be my kor and one whom I can easily talk to.
I really hope everything will stay this way in time to come. Esp no complicated issues at work.
We end work at 5:30pm but a bell will ring at 5:15pm when we must pack up and clean our tables with our own cloth as well as do our respective cleaning duties where allocated. That's all fer the week!
Everything that happened on Friday, March 13, 2009, happened fer a reason.
